O2 Planning + Design worked successfully with Minto and Nyhoff Architecture in achieving planning approvals for a new multi-residential project in the community of Hillhurst-Sunnyside. O2 submitted a concurrent land use and development permit application to support the redevelopment. The land use application received unanimous approval at Calgary Planning Commission and at City Council.

O2 worked closely with City of Calgary planners in developing a Direct Control land use district for the development that met all policy requirements. The land use application was submitted to the City of Calgary on January 31, 2016, and approved on July 4, resulting on a 5 month approval timeline.
